Summary: We had a cottage behind the pub. It was pretty roomy for 3 people and had a nice kitchen with a washer though we didn’t use either. The tub was nice and deep though the water heater didn’t stay hot long enough to fill it easily. Sheets and towels were nice, bed firm. Staff was mostly welcoming and friendly. Food was especially good at dinner and I loved their gin of the day so much I bought a bottle at duty free. Decor of interior of pub is really pleasant — has a true pub feel with fires and animal heads but was not dingy or messy. Modern paint colors, comfy seats, etc. Breakfast was fine, not as exceptional as dinner but still tasty and very convenient as included. Considering that we’d just come from a 4 star type country lodge, the fact that this affordable pub measured up so well says a lot. Super close to Highclere castle and not far from Stonehenge and the gin distillery at Freefolk.

Summary: Great stay in the Bungalow. Ideal for a short break with your own space. Only element that could have made it better, would have been that the heating was on an hour or 2 before we arrived in minus 2 conditions. Also no wi-fi in the bungalow. Wi-fi in the main pub building was good though.

Summary: Lovely place, clean, really lovely staff and they work so hard! Food delicious it certainly helped we had amazing weather!! Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thanks guys!

Summary: We loved George and Dragon. Pub was great with excellent food, host was great, staff was great. Bungalow was nice and clean but couch bed mattress was TERRIBLE! Great area.

Summary: This is a quintessential British country pub. The interior is warm and inviting and the ambience is delightful. I stayed in The Cottage, a small bungalow in the grounds of the pub. It is self-contained and has everything you could possibly need for a long stay here. The food was sublime and as a Vegan, there were plenty of choices for me. I love this place ! Well done !
